| Robert Kennedy received his formal training at the Rhode Island School of Design (1961) where he studied painting and illustration.
A native of Boston, Kennedy gathered inspiration and experience traveling throughout the Caribbean, Florida, Mexico, and South West with his sketchbook and watercolors. His crisp detailed pen & ink drawings provide an historical record characteristic of the waterfronts and neighborhoods, including a variety of popular pubs and personalities of some of the most colorful areas of America.
Over the years Kennedy's meticulous and classic art along with his heartwarming flair, has increased in popularity worldwide. Today he is considered one of the top selling graphic artists in America. (Screen Printing Magazine: May, 1983). |
