Kevin Shea

Best known for his city, land and seascape paintings which beautifully capture the mood and personality of each place, Kevin Shea uses a classic, limited palette and handground pigments to create a rich, textured look. His very painterly canvases radiate the effects of outdoor light and atmosphere, and the changing seasons are reflected in his work.
Often painting on location on the Cape or Nantucket, Shea is also well-known on the streets of Boston, where he frequently sets up his easel. With a degree in fine arts from Massachusetts College of Art, he has exhibited nationally with the American Artists Professioal League, and his paintings are in numerous private and corporate collections.
